Who is Dr. Ali

An expert in ayurvedic medicine and naturopathy with a holistic vision, that is to say of the person as a whole, he successfully blends oriental and western medicine in a health concept that he has transformed into treatments offered at Castel Monastero.

Dr. Mosaraf Ali was born in Calcutta and began his medical studies at the University of New Delhi. In 1973, he moved to Russia where he broadened his knowledge and obtained a degree cum laude in general medicine in 1980. He then joined the Central Institute of Advanced Medical Studies in Moscow to study for a doctorate in acupuncture. He later completed various specialisation courses in acupuncture, anaesthesia, iridology and hypnotherapy.

He returned to Delhi in 1982 and in 1983 opened an integrated medical centre in New Delhi, where he successfully applied the techniques that he had learnt over the previous years. During this period, he completed his specialisation, combining the techniques of traditional medicine with ayurveda, homeopathy, Yoga, Marna and massage-manipulation.

In 1988 he joined the Complimentary Medical Clinic of Hong Kong and its general manager. In 1991 he moved to London as the head of the Department of Integrated Medicine at Hale Clinic, where he remained until 1996. That year, he founded his own centre for integrated medicine together with a group of 18 professionals, offering the medical treatments that it is now possible to enjoy exclusively at Castel Monastero.
